Woodhill Primary School

Children

Home learning is an essential part of the curriculum at Woodhill School.  It improves children thinking and memory and helps children develop positive study skills and habits that will serve them well throughout life.  Research shows that regular home learning encourages children to use their time wisely, and teaches them to work independently whilst taking responsibility for their own learning.

In some subjects, home learning helps children learn to use resources, such as libraries and websites to find information encouraging them to explore subjects more fully than classroom time permits.  It also allows parents to understand more about what your children are learning in school.
