Today we had our very own ice rink at Woodhill. There was lots of laughter and it got us into the Christmas spirit. The children were desperate to get onto the ice rink and when they did they had lots of fun. We sold biscuits that we had made and raised over £25. We got feedback from children and parents who said:
"It was funny watching people fall over" (child)
"It could be a bit more organised but apart from that the children were having fun" (parent)
"The penguins helped a lot!" (child)
Today we found out that we got the job we applied for as communication leaders. We were very speechless when we found out. We went to our new learning lab and found out we had our own tables. We interviewed most of the junior leadership team. We found out why they wanted to take this role and why they got picked by their classes. We discovered that their classes thought that they were good role models and great listeners. As communication leaders, we gathered information about the junior leadership team and got them settled into their new jobs from KS1 up to KS2.
Today we had a carol concert that we performed for the parents. It was a surprise for Mrs O'Connor because she had been holding herself back during rehearsals. It was especially fun when we all sang Silent Night together as a group. All the parents had a mince pie and took photos throughout the performance. Everyone had a fabulous time and some children read poems and performed solos, which brought out their amazing voices.
